AAA and General Motors Team Up to "Go Green"
May 5th Alternative Fuel Event to include battery recycling, vehicle maintenance checks, alternative fuel vehicles, test drives and more!

BUFFALO, NY, APRIL 27, 2007 - AAA and General Motors will host an "Alternative Fuel" event on May 5th from 10 am - 2 pm at the AAA Amherst Travel and Insurance Center. Drivers and consumers can discover the benefits of alternative fuel technology, energy conservation, and recycling.

General Motors will be displaying their line of alternative fuel vehicles - Flex Fuel, Hybrid, and Fuel Cell vehicles. The hybrids and E85 vehicles will be available to test drive (valid driver's license required.). Experts from General Motors will be on hand to answer questions.

AAA will also be recycling lead-acid car, truck, boat, and motorcycle batteries, performing vehicle maintenance checks and replacing mercury switches, found in under-hood and trunk lights. Each battery returned will generate funds toward a charitable donation to Re-Tree WNY.

"If you want to know more about ËœGo Green, Hybrid, Flex Fuel, or E-85,' don't miss this opportunity to learn from the experts," said Thomas Chestnut, President/CEO of AAA Western and Central New York. "AAA is pleased to host this event with GM in an effort to help educate our members and drivers about the importance of conservation and alternative fuel technology."
