Consumer event provides money-saving suggestions Sept. 21 through Oct. 3

BUFFALO, N.Y., September 8, 2009 – AAA Insurance Days, a bi-annual event aimed at educating consumers about personal insurance needs, is returning this fall to offer complimentary reviews of any auto, homeowners, renters, and personal liability insurance policies. The two-week event will take place Monday, September 21st through Saturday, October 3rd throughout AAA Western and Central New York’s 14 Travel and Insurance Centers.

“AAA Insurance Days is the perfect opportunity to review your home and auto insurance policies with a licensed AAA Insurance agent to ensure that you have the coverage and protection that you need,” said David Weber, Vice President of AAA Members Insurance Agency. “Often times a simple review of your coverage can add up to significant savings.”

Reducing costs and obtaining discounts can be done in a number of ways. For example, consumers can receive multi-line discounts by insuring their home, auto, and personal liability policies with the same provider; by taking a defensive driving course to reduce portions of their auto insurance by up to 10 percent; or by asking for higher deductibles to reduce costs up front, to name a few. Additionally, consumers who pay their insurance premium in full, rather than quarterly or monthly may also be eligible for discount.

AAA’s knowledgeable insurance agents will be providing one-on-one policy reviews to ensure that consumers have the proper coverage to match their individual or family lifestyles and offer potential discounts to help lower premium costs. AAA Insurance agents will also advise consumers where they may need more coverage and why it is important to have a complete, customized policy.

AAA Insurance Days will take place during normal AAA Western and Central New York business hours September 21st through October 3rd.
