Tips for Disney Cruisers
DO BOOK EARLY The cheaper rooms book up the fastest. Booking a lower-level room early and off-season (meaning not booking a cruise that sails during peak tourist season) gives you the best chance of getting a free upgrade.
DON’T PROCRASTINATE If you already know what shore excursions you want to do, go ahead and reserve your space ahead of time. You won’t want to miss out if one books up quickly.
DO LAUNDRY AT DINNER TIME Laundry facilities are available on the ship, but they get busy toward the end of the cruise. There are two dinner rotations, so try to do laundry during the rotation before or after you eat. You’ll have better odds of finding an open machine.
DON’T OVERPACK The rooms are small, and can easily get overwhelmed by clothes, shoes, children’s strollers and snacks. Bring with you as little as possible, especially if you plan to purchase a lot of souvenirs.
DO YOUR HOMEWORK Each night, your room host or hostess will leave the Navigator in your stateroom. It’s a complete planner for the next day, and activities are broken down into categories: family, adult, teens, etc. Read this thoroughly, and carry it with you throughout the day.

I was told Disney didn't upgrade. Maybe that's because they typically sell out. I wonder when we will find out if we get an upgrade.
