Money-Saving Tips from AAA Experts

By Laura Wahler

For many people, a Disney vacation is a much-anticipated opportunity to relive their childhood, but it doesn’t have to drain the bank account. With a little help, a few tricks can save you a bundle on your next Disney dream vacation.

AAA’s travel consultants receive special training in order to offer the most current and cost-effective Disney planning advice to members. Did you know that AAA members who book their Disney vacation through AAA receive exclusive benefits and discounts? Here are just a few tips from AAA’s Disney experts to get started on your path to the “Happiest Place on Earth.”

1. Several periods during the year are traditionally less crowded than the peak summer and holiday seasons. Ask your AAA travel consultant about Disney’s Value Season: When school is in session, you can find big savings at Disney’s most popular hotels, plus shorter lines at top attractions like the Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain.

2. Bringing your own stroller can save you a daily $15 to $31 rental fee. If you do decide to rent a stroller once you arrive, keep your receipt as you move from park to park so you don’t have to pay for the rental more than once each day.

3. You may not need to rent a car if you are staying on Disney property. Free transportation to and from all Disney-owned hotels, theme parks, water parks, and shopping areas—plus the Orlando International Airport—is included for Disney resort guests.
