Treat yourself to a hearty Alaskan experience, even at the dinner table. Cold-water seafood is the culinary specialty of Alaskan cuisine, so a visit to the Great Land is not complete without at least one salmon-bake dinner. You might even develop a taste for reindeer sausage or moose stew.

You're bound to have fun at the Silverbow. The restored historical structure sports funky decor, and kids are encouraged to color on the table covers. Classic and golden oldies films are shown two nights a week. Before showtime, stop in to the adjacent New York-style bakery and grab one of the sinful desserts to enjoy during the movie.
An upscale setting in the Westmark Hotel sets the stage for artful presentations of such regional delicacies as salmon, halibut, prawns and crab. A large wall painting in the dining room depicts the gold rush, and servers are attentive.
The casual third floor restaurant commands a magnificent view of Ketchikan harbor and features a variety of locally caught seafood including salmon and clams.
Perched 130 feet above Creek Street and high above the busy cruise ship harbor is the Westcoast Cape Fox Lodge and its reputable dining room, Heen Kahidi--meaning "house by the creek." This place is legendary for celebrating special events. Local seafood anchors the menu, which also includes aged beef, chicken and pasta. Spectacular views of the harbor are framed by pine boughs just outside the windows.
